<p>Over on the UT forum, we are talking about the elimination of the Summer Freshman Class this year and are interested in the reasons why the Summer Freshman Class was eliminated. Anyone know?</p>

<p>There were some smart, great students from Bellaire H.S. in the fall 2008 Summer Freshman Class. (Other top notch TX schools had good kids in the SFC too, I'm sure - I just happen to have met some of the Bellaire freshmen.) Elimination of the fall 2009 SFC seems particularly rough on in-state students from strong high schools like that.</p>
