I want to encourage high-achieving and highly ambitious students not admitted into UT-Austin or UT-Dallas honors programs to look into the Honors College at UT Arlington.

UT Arlington is one of the strongest UT institutions and admissions into their honors college is a little easier than UT-Austin and UT-Dallas. But of course once you’re in, the expectations are still high.

It’s better to be a college student in the honors program, than a college student not in one. Honors program students get preferential treatment that can make a big difference and a better college experience.

@NuScholar Do you know of any students in the honors program who are film majors? Is the UTA honors college mostly independent study? I imagine that to be difficult since film is usually team oriented. My son is interested in film and honors.

Check UNT. They have a film program and a broad honors program.
