@ genrawks- RTF is the Communications major Radio/Television-Film. It is an extremely competitive field and has a very demanding course load, so I would not reccommend it unless you are absolutely sure this is your main focus. To major in RTF is mainly to learn technique, the degree is more to give you credibilty. Hope this helps :)

Yeah I wouldnt recommend going into RTF unless you’re passionate about it and know you’re going to be good. I use to act a little bit and have seen some work from UT film students that was just…not good. Also have a couple friends that graduated from RTF and are waiting tables. I’d only do it if its what you really want to do.

Class of 2015 transfer hopeful. First choice, College of Communications; Advertising or Public Relations. Any other 2015 transfers?

I have a different situation…

I graduated with a BS in Poli Sci from Sam Houston State University in May 2011… I want to go back and get a degree in geology. It was my first choice throughout school, but I changed it for some stupid reason. Jackson School doesnt accept apps for Spring, so I applied as undecided and Chem.

Overall GPA 3.4
SHSU GPA: 3.8
Cal 1: C (ugh, first C I have made since my first sem. in college)
Cal 2: A

3 Essays and some volunteer work. The majority of my work came from taking care of my daughter. I pretty much explained in the essay that we were four hours from any family for 3 years while living in Huntsville, and I had to stay home with her when not at school.

please chance me!

I am applying to transfer to ut in the spring of 2012.

what do you guys think my chances are of getting in the spring semester?

Thought I would post up my stats. My first school of choice is Civil Engineering and my second is Architectural Engineering. I have a 4.0 with 60 hours and by the end of this semester I will have 75 hours. I am at a local community college. I am not sure if I should change my second school of choice to something more certain I will get accepted to. Good luck to everyone else.

Any other hopeful transfers??

I’m planning to turn in my app sometime this weekend just finishing up the essays. I’m not too sure about my chances tho with a 3.27. Applied last spring with a 3.2 and got denied , also instate at tech and will have 75 transfer hours.

Here are my stats. I’m looking into transferring into Natural
Sciences and second choice Liberal Arts. I will have completed 45 hours at Trinity University with a 3.53. I also have 30 credit hours of AP scores. What do you think my chances are? Good luck!
