Gabbybelzer send your new transcript. It will help you a lot trust me. I think you will get accepted :)…

Still no word for me…

Best wish to every prospective student! Now, I have encountered some problems of my admission…actually I misunderstand the math readiness of CNS…
I think transfer students can take the ALEKS to remove Calculus readiness (I just realize transfer student should be able to enroll ‘beyond’ Cal1.) However, I didn’t take Cal1 in my local CC (they force me to take a lot of pre-require classes before taking Calculus)… here my questions…
1.)If I haven’t taken Calculus yet, does the College of Science department still consider my application?

2.)Currently, I am applying the nutrition science entry level and College of Natural Sciences Undeclared. Can I contact the admission office and change my second major to (B.S.) in Athletic Training(College of education) because of my calculus readiness?

3.) Studying nutrition is always my first choice but I have also great interest in sport…I will try to switch back to nutrition if I got admitted… Can I explain to the office that?
Actually I have learn Calculus in my country (I am international student) that why I don’t want to waste my time and money in those pre-require classes?

4.)Does a good score of alerks placement test boost my chance to get into the CNS? Finally I have faxed 2 recommendation letters to the office, will they show up in my status(website)?

Hope someone can help me! Appreciate! Again good luck&happy Halloween to all spring transfer students!!

What’s ur gpa?

I told th counselor that I hadn’t taken calculus yet and she said that because my gpa is so high (I have a 3.9) that they will probably look past it

My gpa is just 3.56 lol , anyway i am planning to switch my second major choice to college of education…

Hey guys, just wondering what GPA would make an OOS sophomore transfer competitive? What should I be aiming for? (I project that I will at LEAST get a 3.6, probably more around 3.7-3.8). Not applying for fin. aid.

it honestly depends on the college that you are planning to put down as your first and second choice.

I put College of Communications first and College of Liberal Arts second.

average accepted gpa for college of comm is a 3.6+ and lib arts is like a 3.58…but that is including the CAP students accepted with the minimum 3.2

Do you think it will need to be higher because I’m out of state and applying for sophomore year?

im not sure how much being a sophomore would do…but from one prospective out of state transfer to another (im applying from california) being OOS makes it MUCH harder to transfer. We have to work twice as hard and be twice as impressive because the majority of the free spots are reserved for texas residents.

Does anyone know how quick decisions come for people who are waiting for fall transcripts?

It seems like we are probably not going to be accepted until mid Jan…which means all the classes will be filled up… Its starting to make me second guess UT for the spring

gah! im so nervous…i keep praying every day that im gonna get an acceptance letter…but my OOS status is bringing that dream crashing down with my not quite stellar GPA. Im still hoping and praying though

does anyone know when we will hear back? Im getting super antsy over here!

I’ve heard so many dates! Some say by mid-November, one person said by the END of DECEMBER, and others have said all times in-between. And this is all information from the admissions department. So, I’m not just going on here-say. Everyone I’ve talked to has a bunch of different dates. Which makes this all even more frustrating. :(

Talked to someone in admissions, and currently, they think mid to late November! So we should only be a few weeks away. Anyone else get news, yet?

so close yet so far! Keep your fingers crossed you guys

Anybody care to chance?

Really hoping I get in, but I hear if you’re applying as a Freshman for Spring admission, they have to wait to get your final transcript. This means we probably won’t hear until late December or early Jan.

RGHelmcamp

Exactly…Jan and dec which sucks because we’re gonna get the worst classes

Yeah, better than not going at all though.
