I don’t really have a trend, I have 3 As and 3 Bs. I know my chances are really low, and I’ll try again for the spring, hopefully with a 3.6 by then. Would having 53 credits by then lower my chances?

no it wouldnt hurt but keep in mind that you need 60 credits of your degree at UT
if you want to raise your gpa i’d take a summer class…it can’t hurt. you get a few credits out of the way and make an a and raise your chances of getting into ut at the same time…

kha1:

No, you could transfer to UT with 60 hours and still get in with an upward trend. Number of credits isn’t actually important. If you get at least 3.7 for this semester, or a 3.8, then that’ll show them that you’re capable of doing so.

As it stands, you have fairly decent shot at getting in now, and a much greater one next semester.

Kha1ed you have a shot… I have a friend With 3.4 got accepted to cola :)…

“Your application for admission is in review.”
Grrrreat.

^ Does anyone know whether or not that just means your application is actually under review or just eligible to be reviewed?

E.G. someone submits to cockrell but does not currently meet the math readiness requirement. Would they be “in review” now or not until their final transcript is submitted?

@123Lareen
What was your friends statistics when they transferred into COLA?
I have a 3.511 and I’m hoping thats good enough…

Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated, haha

I think it means someone is actually reviewing part of my application. Reading previous posts my status will stay like that for weeks. I think they wait until you submit a final transcript before reviewing your application.

I didnt know where else to post this…so i guess ill try right here hoping to get some feedback from yall.

So i’m a sophmore here at UT austin and am planning to apply to transfer into mccombs at the end of this semester. So i’ve taken all the 4 required courses. I’m planning to have a GPA anywhere from a 3.64 - 3.68 by the end of this semester. And by looking at the stats for the past 10 years on the internal transfer page I’ve noticed that the highest the minimum gpa has ever been has been 3.6 but usually its around the 3.5 range. So I guess my question is what do you guys think my chances are of getting in?

(I’m classified as a junior right now at UT even though its only my second year…but im well under the 90 hours)

Has anyone found out when decisions will start coming out? It look like from earlier posts April through May. And… my chances of getting accepted to COLA International Relations with a 3.8 GPA and 60 transfer credits? This next month or so is going to be so nerve wracking!!!

lg1: I would say pretty good.

Do I stand a chance of being admitted to College of Natural Sciences with a 3.6 GPA last semester and most likely a 3.8 GPA this semester?

@aw2254: yes

is there any chance for me to make it into CNS computer science with a 3.4 gpa

what about my chances lol?

My application is officially ‘in review’. Anyone else? Unless my memory hates me, I think that’s a status change.

Yup, same here! :)

But I think it’ll stay that way for about another month until the decisions are made… lol.

Regardless, it makes me fairly excited!

You mean where it says “Your application for admission is in review”?? Yeah, mine too. I thought I had imagined it changing. I think I will start obsessively taking screen shots every day. Ok, I won’t. But I’m tempted.

i saw somewhere on the UT site saying all transfer can expect decisions by may 1… here it is
