UT austin 2017/2018 Transfer Thread

I was curious which major has a better acceptance rate?? I’m torn between applying for advertising or public relations both in Moody.

I got accepted into UT CNS for Biochemistry last monday. I had 2 Fs, 2Cs, and 2As from dual credit in highschool however I had a 4.0 in my current university while completing 40 hours in my first year. I applied around September with 60 credits, 2 essays (one that was 200 words long ngl), no LORs, and a solid resume. My Transfer GPA ended up being 3.33. Hope this will give hope to some. Goodluck!

That gives me hope for sure!! Thanks @kevincc!

Hi guys, I checked my status today and I got accepted!!! I applied for English, my transfer gpa was a 3.3! Best of luck to you all!!

Just got accepted to COLA Government! 3.47 gpa from Boston University, 2 essays, 1 rec letter. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats to everyone who was accepted. Still waiting on my psychology decision…

Admitted to Psychology!!

Has anyone gotten an email about orientation or anything? I accepted admissions today but don’t really see where to go from there

I was admitted today as an International Relations Major from HCC with a 3.4 GPA. Best of luck to all who have yet to receive their admission decision. I know the uncertainty is unbearable but stay hopeful & just know it isn’t the end of the world if you’re not admitted. Peace, blessings & Happy Holidays y’all!

You have to go to UT website and sign up for new student orientation, its $50 and its on Jan 8 or 9 I can’t remember

Has anyone figured out their living situation for next semester?

I changed my decision and decided on UT. Hook 'em! Anybody signed up for orientation yet? I’m not sure if it’s too early but I’ve done all of the other required things and want to keep the ball moving…

For everyone looking for housing, join the UT Austin sublet page! There is plenty of people looking to get their lease covered for the spring.

I’m ecstatic to say I have been admitted to the University of Texas CNS for biochemistry! Good luck everyone!

Is anyone in this discussion debating between a and m and Ut still? I got accepted to both and have always dreamed to go to UT but once I got accepted I had second thoughts on wether I wanted to go to a and m. Any thoughts about this?
