@Fudgerino Oh wow! What school did you apply to?
I am so nervous about this transfer. It seems UT takes forever
Online it said that transfer applicants can find out as late as June 15th. I think thatās absolutely crazy. Itās going to be hard scrambling to get housing, financial aid, registration, and all the other stuff in order within that time frame, but hey, itās possible.
Transfer admissions is much different than first-year. Knock on wood but not everyone can/will get in - that just means they could be scrambling to finish the matriculation process at another university for the fall that late.
This is honestly such a stupid question, but does anyone know what the application will say when itās in review? Will it just straight up say your application is in review or will it say something else?
Hey everyone, Friday I logged into My status and saw that they were lacking my āSpring 2018ā transcripts. Since the spring semester isnāt over for me that is literally impossible. I logged into My status yesterday and received the rejection letter VIA my status. I was heartbroken. This doesnāt make any sense because they received the transcripts I sent from ACC on March 1st. I have a 3.7 GPA and applied to COLA as a government major. I had 14 hours of credit for the fall and I am taking 16 right now during the spring. I plan on going in person to the admissions office on Monday. If this wasnāt a mistake I will be devastated because Iāve worked very hard to build up my resume. Do any of you all have any thoughts or advice ?
Yes !! this has happened to me!!
@awesomesaucee I applied to the College of Natural Sciences - Major in Comp Sci
thats really weird, if you sent your transcripts on march 1st, they should be able to see that it was in progress. I would totally talk to them in person.
@awesomesaucee on a whim I changed my first choice from mechanical to compsci. Second choice is still civil. Do you think Iād have a chance at getting into compsci with a 3.92 if I was previously in engineering classes? Also, does making compsci my first choice hurt my chances of getting civil as my second? Iāve kind of been assuming that Iād get into civil for sure, but I worry that they wont consider me
@elijahtom I think you have a good shot at Comp Sci with a 3.92. However, I do think it hurts your chances from getting into Civil as a second because UT prioritizes candidates who choose competitive majors as their FIRST choice
Anyones app in review yet? Mine is still saying application is complete for admission
@YungManZ Lol no. Man this sucks.
@YungManZ same this sucks
Anyone else really annoyed! Haha
Yes :((
Itās not looking good guys.
Same, I hope they still reply to us at least by the end of April.
Ugh, this agony is terrible!! I canāt imagine how people dealt before there were computers and the internet! I AM SO ANXIOUS for ANY update. I wish theyād be more explicit with their own deadlines. I know itās not black and white, but still, itād be nice if once they sorted who was applying to what colleges, they would like put out an approximate time frame for each school and/or major. Lol, I guess thatād be a lot of work though!
no
You CS kids get to at least hear back in Mid April where as people in McCombs donāt hear back until the deadline in MID JUNE
