@Thompson2688 You’re not alone. I know how hard it can be to focus on work and finishing this semester strong when this is the main thing that’s on your mind. I’m still hoping decisions start coming out on the 15th tho
Hey guys so I saw confusion on when decisions would start rolling, and an associate director of admissions told me about two weeks ago that decisions would being rolling out mid april. I assume that they will start next week, but if not, for sure within the next two weeks.
Hi! I’ve been following the thread, but only recently decided to sign up.
I applied to CNS for bio. My GPA is a 3.82 from a different UT system school. I have not completed calc, but have 8 science credits. When I spoke with admissions, they said that calc is not required, but is best to have as far as competitiveness is concerned.
2 LOR, and my essays are pretry strong.
I applied as a second choice to philosophy. I am unsure how the process works if I don’t get into CNS, do they still consider me for philosophy?
Thanks!!
@maalexis If you are from a UT feeder school, and have a gpa higher than a 3.2, then you are automatically admitted into COLA. So even if you don’t get into CS, you will definitely get into philosophy.
@Thompson2688 Don’t you have to be a CAP student for that? I’m at another UT system school right now but I am not a part of the CAP program, so in my case I wouldn’t apply for automatic admission into COLA, right?
@hookmepls Ohhh… your right I totally forgot. So yes, you would have to be a cap student to gain automatic admittance.
@awesomesaucee add me to the list

hookem
@utcshopeful did you get in???
@Thompson2688 I don’t think so ha.
One week guys
Now I’m wondering if @utcshopeful got an answer and I’ve logged on 3 times checking my status! Haha
@colanxgirl yeah they said hookem, which is odd cause were close to the date of early decisions coming out.
Just to be clear, no one singular person will get in before everyone else. When people get in, we’ll get a wave of corresponding replies to this thread.
@BluePinkerton True it’s just they might receive it a day or two before other people.
No lol I haven’t gotten an answer, Idk why I typed that
I’m sending positive vibes to everyone on this thread
Haha well hopefully soon @utcshopeful
