UT austin 2017/2018 Transfer Thread

And she didn’t even look at my application or anything. Doesn’t even know my name

Ya same every time i call it’s something different!!! So frustrating. Might have to just gigem

I think I talked to this same lady a while back. She was very discouraging and when I asked her a question about my spring application she replied with “I don’t recommend you to apply for the spring, admission is competitive and sometimes you don’t get your decision until a few weeks before school starts”

I’m surprised you were told spring admissions is more competitive, i was told it was less competitive

Thats what I thought too. No way to be sure I guess. Just have to be patient and wait for the best!

Any update on anyones application fellow troopers?

Everyday i wake up with hopes that something has changed on my status. Still nothing for me. I check that thing like 10 times a day at the minimum

Yeah same here. I have been checking it more often now because its actually mid-november. Getting my hopes up and sh** lol

This waiting is awful! Hopefully we all find out soon.

Yeah Lol this is awful! Everyone in this thread deserves to get in because we’ve all waited so long!!!

Well that’s not good for us who aren’t international lol

I’m starting to feel really nervous, I applied with 50 hours from one college with a 3.4 GPA, 12 hours from a different college with a 3.2 GPA, and 4 hours from another with a 3.0 (I only took one A&P class there and got a B), I’ve applied for English and when I averaged out my GPA from all of the schools i think it came out to a 3.3, do you think this is too low? I wrote one of my essay’s over women in aviation (I am currently doing flight training) which I thought was good. I had 2 LOR and a decent resume. I know none of you can give me a definitive answer, but I guess I’m just wondering If you’ve known anyone whose gotten in with similar stats? My nerves are starting to get the best of me (-:

The thing that’s brought me down is I was a nursing student originally, so I have A&P 1 which I got a C in, and another nursing course I got a C in which is really affecting my GPA. However, ever since I switched to English I have made straight A’s. I’m hoping they see that, I’m really upset my previous bad choice in a major is hurting my chances. If I didn’t have these courses that don’t pertain to my current major on my transcripts, my GPA would be significantly higher- like a 3.9/4.0

How long were your essays? I wrote exceptionally long essays (1,600 & 1,400 words) not knowing that was a bad thing to do in an admissions essay. I was originally going to write all three essays but when my first two essays were so long I figured the third essay would be too much.

“Your application for admission is in review.” Wow, thank you MyStatus for crushing my hopes, again. Anyone gotten a decision yet? Post if you have or haven, even if its good news or not so us, the ones who are going through a cynical state of madness, can have some closure when to expect a decision. Thanks!

Still in review as well my friend. Pretty frustrating

Does everyones my status say “in review” here? Or do some still say “complete/on time”?

Does your say complete and on time?

Nope, mine has said in review since like first week of october. Just wondering if anyones still says complete/on time still and if it being “under review” even means anything as to when we will receive our decision.

My app also still says “under review”, been like that since the start of october/late september.
