UT Austin Accept Sophomore Transfers with < 30 credits?

I’m a high school student who will be attending one of the Penn State Branch Campuses and planning to Transfer to UT Austin for Fall 2016

I understand that you need 30 hours of credit to be considered for transfer by the deadline which is March 1st.

I will have about 25 credits ( 18 in class + 7 by AP ) by the time I apply. Also, My school’s Spring semester doesn’t end

until May so I won’t be able to send my transcripts with 30+ credits by the deadline.

Does this mean that I will have to apply for Spring 2017 Semester Transfer?

Be aware that UT has high standards for transfers already, and out-of-state transfer standards are significantly higher than in-state.
