UT Austin Chances for CS CNS OOS

I’m not to big on the “chance me” thing, but I have not been able to find any recent stats regarding what kind of test scores are within reasonable reach of being accepted into the computer science major at UT Austin. I understand it is more difficult for out of state students to get in, but does anyone have any links to the admission stats? Am I even competitive? (Be honest about your opinions, I’m going to try my hardest to get in either way)

Honestly being out of state will hurt your chances tremendously because in state students always get’s priority, BUT DAMN DUDE WHY GO TO UT WHEN YOU CAN GET INTO HARVARD! Your chances are very good if UT has spots for out of state students, but i reiterate a student at your caliber might not like UT because believe me there are a fair share of “slower/drugs 4 lyfe”" students there too.

UT Austin is highly competitive for all applicants in the non-automatic-admit pool (top 7% of a Texas high school) that takes up about 3/4 of the spaces. Probably best to consider it a reach, especially if your class rank is not in the top few percent. In addition, admission to the CS major may be even more selective than admission to the campus.

As a Washington resident, are you applying to University of Washington (targeting CS direct admission) and other Washington public schools?

Yes, I am also seeing if I can be directly admitted into the CS program at UW. @ucbalumnus

You really think I have a shot at Harvard? I am applying there, but I feel like my SAT score is going to hurt me a lot. WHY NOT GIVE IT A SHOT THO AM I RIGHT @utcswannabe
