My daughter got in to CNS-Biology. Not auto admit.
I’m pretty sure you can sign up for housing any time after your application has been submitted. So I doubt the tab means anything.
@deltawye Transfers between majors is hard at UT. I would suggest you only accept the offer of your major in Physics and attend UT if you actually want to study Physics. UT doesn’t want anyone “gaming the system” by getting in and then switching right away so it is not easy to switch majors, especially if you are wanting one that is highly competitive like CS.
Congratulations! In State or OOS?
In state. Highly competitive high school. Strong GPA and great ACT score.
But the housing tab is newly added
Earlier it was nt thr.
@USUG21 Not for me. I’ve always had it.
heard back today and got into CNS- computer science!
In state or out of state and stats?
Oh yeah, CONGRATS!!!
Oh ok. Then no good news for international student as of now. We hav to wait till march.
Should we pay the 50 dollar housing fee
So when would the earliest possible time to request a major change be? I also got into A&M general engineering, so seeing if I can get into CS before May 1st would really help me decide between the two.
I got into Biology! Non-auto admit, it is possible!
@BreadedPrincess When did you find out tonight? Earlier this evening?
@amottmers I heard earlier this evening around 4 pm, just took me awhile to post it
Why is the housing tab added? Is that a good sign, though? Does everyone who has not received his or her decision yet has the housing tab?
@sean191297 the housing tab is just the updated system, everyone gets it who has applied.
Should we pay the 50 dolar housing fee befor we r acccpeted
@USUG21 yes it gives you a way better chance of getting the dorms you want
@USUG21 Yes it does give you a better chance at the dorms you want, but it also depends if you feel like paying $50 and then not being accepted. Just a thought.
