Hello, I am a High School senior ranked in the top 10 (and top 10%) of my class. I will be graduating with an associates degree in Mathematics as part of a Dual Enrollment program. I submitted my application and all supplemental materials to UT well before the December 1st Deadline, but have not received any acceptance/rejection feedback yet.
A friend of mine who has applied to their Cockrell School of Engineering has already received their acceptance and everything. Every other school that I’ve applied to (UT Dallas, UTSA, UNT, TT, A&M) have already accepted me into the programs that I applied to.
On the portal, it says that I am accepted into the university, but I can’t apply for housing or anything. This leads me to believe that the college (of Architecture) has yet to accept me. Because this is the first year that the FASFA was available in October, I would think that maybe this has something to do with it.
So, to the approximately 1,000 other students who have applied, have you received feedback from the School of Architecture?
To the current Architecture students at UT, when did you receive your admissions decision?
To anyone that can help, have you heard about delays in the admissions decisions?

I also applied to the SoA, but I’m OOS (and you seem to not be), so I haven’t received either of my decisions yet. The “wave” of decisions that comes out today supposedly contains decisions for both majors as well as the University in general. Patience is a virtue, I suppose.

You’re right, I’m a Texas Resident (forgot to mention that, I suppose). I heard about the new round of decisions that came out today too, but it looks like I’m not in yet.
Yeah, patience is important to have at times like these.

Has anyone heard from Moody College of Comm from OOS? Applied late October just wondering?
Nyet, sorry. They seem to have given out mostly Business and Engineering admissions decisions at the moment.
I’m a current first year student at UTSoA, and most of my peers received their acceptance last year at the end of January/beginning of February.
Checked my portal this afternoon to find I got accepted the Architecture program!!! I checked Friday afternoon as well, so they must have updated it at some point between then and now.

I haven’t recieved anything, but now I’m hopeful that it’ll come out sometime soon.

Just to put it out there, however, I encountered an odd situation today:
I checked on the UT portal this morning and found that I was not accepted into the SoA. When I checked again, however, the admission decision disappeared and I was back to waiting on a response.
I called the phone number for admissions and they said it was just a test to see if the system was working alright, and that my decision was probably coming out soon. Most importantly, though, was that the rejection decision I saw was not necessarily the real admissions decision.
I hope no-one else was frightened by this too. UT is my main choice.

My rejection status came back on February 18th, and this time it was there to stay.
I was accepted to the university, however (Top 10% in texas school), and given a choice of other majors that were not full yet. Anthropology, some English stuff, and other libreal art-esque things.
So, good luck to all future applicants. May their hopes be fulfilled.
