To those of you who got accepted… take it… it was my dream school, beyond my dream school it was my childhood dream and I got caped. So take advantage of the opportunity, you won’t regret it. Thank y’all for being a great support system.
To folks who have been accepted, did you also apply for and hear back about honors?
Also, UT said if you applied for honors and were accepted, you should also hear back about scholarships as those are merit-based and tied to the Honors application. I assume you may have to look under the Honors tab and the Financial Aid tab to see. My S was accepted back in December to the School of Engineering (1480 new SAT, 32 ACT, 15% class rank but excellent essays and extracurriculars) but has been waiting since then to hear about Honors. On 2/10/17 UT said students would hear back by 1 Mar about Honors, but my thought that with this wave of acceptances, Honors acceptances may roll out with them.
now what exactly is CAP and PACE?
My daughter just got CAPed. We thought she had a fair shot a McCombs with 2140 old SAT and 4.08 GPA. Things are really competitive this year I guess. Well at least we know now. She has a couple of really good options but they are OOS.
