@kramerismynamer CAP is the Coordinated Admission Program. The student attends another UT system school for freshman year and is then admitted to the College of Liberal Arts beginning sophomore year. Here’s the CAP link: http://admissions.utexas.edu/enroll/cap.

PACE is the Path to Admission through Co-Enrollment. This is like Blinn-TEAM at TAMU. The student takes 12 hours of classes at ACC Rio Grande campus and at least 3 hours at UT both semesters of freshman year. Then, admission is to COLA, College of Education or Moody College of Communication beginning sophomore year. They are considered UT Austin students from the start and can live on campus. Here’s the PACE link: http://admissions.utexas.edu/enroll/pace.

CAP’d McCombs - in state 32 ACT.

@bluedreams my D got accepted to Biology in CNS too. We are OOS as well. In Colorado. Where are you guys?

Anyone getting honors decisions today?

@potatotush Admissions is so weird, like I got into UT but waitlisted at Trinity, while you got into Trinity but CAP’d at UT. Personally, I would rather go to Trinity due to their small class sizes and individual attention from teachers. Especially with that big scholarship you got!

Cap’d, instate top 8%, 1350 SAT, applied to McCombs

@juanito1968 sorry to hear ACT 32 is a good score. UT is a great school but I am not sure CAP is a worthwhile thing to pursue. I don’t believe they guarantee you a major. They end up missing out on the freshman yr at UT entirely.

Rejected OOS. It was my dream school since the 7th grade. Devastated, but I have to move on.

4.5 GPA
1340 New SAT
Eagle Scout, SGA, community service hours, Leadership Positions, NHS, debate, sports, etc.
