To all those who have been accepted today, were you also accepted into Honors? Congrats, BTW!
@Aristos thank you! Yes, I think I will encourage him to appeal. I know it’s a very long shot, but … wow. I know that CS is very tough, but even so, I was surprised.
CAP is not very useful outside COLA. You’ll do just as well to go to any college (including community college), complete the transfer requirements for you desired major and get as high a gpa as possible.
My daughter got accepted to CNS. In-state, top 21%, 34 ACT
@lavastorm I have the exact same stats as you and also got capped, very sad
OOS-VA

applied for HSS honors within the CNS in october and still have not heard back about honors, has anyone gotten word about CNS honors?
Has anyone gotten into the natural science honors programs yet?
I haven’t heard back from honors yet.
Has anyone been offered PACE? I was offered CAP and I’ve only seen CAP so far
@TexasMom2017 So sorry for your DS and sending hugs. His stats are excellent and it’s UT’s loss to not have him. My D was capped for Business with lower stats. We were expecting a rejection because her school is private and non-ranking. D said she’d rather be rejected outright so she can move on with her other choices and not even have to consider CAP or PACE. All the best to your S moving forward!
@funyunz @mav1210 @sciencegirl20 Here’s a thread on Dean’s Scholar in CNS. http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/20322061/#Comment_20322061

Is it worth appealing because I didn’t get into Economics (2nd choice) either? I do not want to do undergrad.
