D got into EE Honors.
If you didn’t get into the engineering honors, don’t be upset. You still can apply honors after you enter UT, but you will got kick out also if you couldn’t maintain your gpa above 3.5.
@cheeselor How did you find out that your Daughter got into the Honors program?
@mc1r01 it is under the honors tab on my status page . You have to Click on the view details icon.
Admitted to Electrical Engineering in November, 35 ACT top 1% in state. Admitted to honors last night.
@ilovefood01 Yes, UT Engineering better than honors TAMU. UT Engineering Honors is essentially a club, even the department says so.

UT Austin is cool. 8) Good luck to all!
Got into ME auto admit. Declined for honors.
@UTEE22
My son is just under your stats. Act 34 (36M) Top 2% of class -(literally just missed 1%) in state. Accepted in November EE. Did not get honors. Congrats to you!!!
DD got into Honors last night. Top 1% in state, 35 ACT (36 Math & STEM). Got into Mechanical Engineering in November. Hook 'em!
Just sharing information. My daughter got TAMU Engineering Honors. Applied to BioMed and Aerospace.
Today we received rejection from UT Engineering. No interest in another major. TAMU was first choice, so she did not do much with UT application ie housing etc.
I don’t know if that made any difference.
ACT 32, SAT 1370 #3 in class. 3.94 GPA Weightes 4.23. All AP’s avail. 12 college credits.
I got an email from UT saying there was important information on my MyStatus, to find that I’m still in review for honors. Anyone else? I was accepted to BME in December!
We also got the prompt to log in today for new info to say they need more time to review Engineering Honors. Accepted to EE in December. Applied early October. Doe this mean we are deferred for honors consideration to regular round?
Same with my D, she was accepted to ECE in December, the email yesterday said there was important information, so she logged into my status and all we see is that she is still under review for honors. Does that mean some honors decisions were sent out recently?
Received acceptance into Cockrell on 1/31 for BME, accepted into Engineering Honors 2/1. Applied in November, in state, auto-admit, rank 1/513, 4.0 unweighted, 1570 SAT, 35 ACT, a bunch of STEM EC.
My kid knows someone who got accepted into architectural engineering with a 27 ACT.
@jdl123 was this kid in state or OOS?
@ggbucks In state.
Did anyone receive a letter from Engineering Honors about a scholarship?
Were you accepted the Engineering Honors already?
