Hey guys! I created this for Fall 2021 applicants as well as others interested in CSB Honors(along with BHP or Turing) to discuss. I am an in-state auto admit recently accepted to McCombs waiting on BHP or CSB hopefully lol fingers crossed! 
Does anyone have any insight as to how the interview/admissions process works for CSB honors? If you don’t get interview does that mean that you automatically won’t get in to honors, or is there a rare possibility to get in without interview or something?
previous years there was always interviews. if u didnt get one u wouldnt get in. ik bhp started their interviews way back in nov. i dont think csb started anything? they might not do interviews, they may nobody knows. i havent heard anyone that heard back yet i’m in state auto mccombs admit and waiting

I got into UTCS in early December and haven’t heard anything back from CSB. I believe that interviews should have gone by at this point and I have not gotten anything regarding an interview and neither have a lot of my friends applying CSB. I think it’s very rare that none of us have even gotten an interview which makes me inclined to believe that they aren’t doing interviews this year. If anyone has gotten an interview, can you respond to this message? Just want to clarify.
the only people who got csb interviews are the ones who applied to mccombs and had their bhp interview that also served as their csb interview as well.
cs kids who applied to both turings and csb haven’t heard back bc turings don’t do interviews and csb hasnt sent interviews out for cs kids so chances are csb don’t do interviews this year or they are doing it all at once maybe in feb and releasing it all at once (unlike bhp where they release throughout till march)
So the CS kids that applied before Nov 1, will hear about CSB decision with the rest of the seniors as well? or later? What if one didnt get CSB but just first option Comp Sc?
I just got deferred from CSB. Did everyone get deferred or were there some more results?

yeah i got deferred from both bhp and csb as well. it seems like most people who didn’t receive an interview got deferred, but idk
apparently no one has heard back from csb yet
Unpopular Opinion:
What if Feb. 1 was the day for Honors Priority Deadline to hear back, but they didn’t read through all of them so that’s why there is that “additional review” message people are supposedly calling “deferred.” I know people in Plan II that got accepted, rejected, and with the “additional review” message and then there is the “still in review” message (which would make sense for those who applied Regular Decision for Honors) I don’t know if I’m right or wrong but it’s a guess because I got BHP and CSB both with the “additional review” message and I applied Priority Honors and have friends in Dean’s and Engineering Honors with the same blurb.
I received an interview for CSB on 1/15 and was accepted today.

No, my first choice major was computer science. I was also accepted to Turing.
