When can OOS expect to receive decisions from UT Austin priority? Does UT Austin usually release in-state decisions first before OOS? Or are they reviewed around the same time? Thank you.

In the past, the big December wave includes OOS and all majors. But there will also be some that are admitted in January. Pretty much everyone will hear by the end of January. If history holds true, the big December wave will happen tonight.

Does McCombs come out tonight? Has anyone got an email saying they will receive a decision later or will we just have to wait and see.

UT admissions tweet yesterday- Please note, it is possible for both priority and regular deadline applicants to receive a decision sooner than the aforementioned dates, so we recommend keeping an eye on your email and your hopeful horns held high in the meantime!

Thanks @navneet123 . Could you post the link?

What was interesting in yesterday’s tweet was a possible deferral option.
“Submitted your application by the November 1 priority deadline? You’ll receive an admission decision by February 1, which may include a deferred decision to March 1.” Have they deferred students in the past?

Yes!

Sounds a bit like what U of Georgia does.

university of Georgia’s dean of admissions admitted that one reason they defer competitive candidates is coz they are unable to give their applications more than a cursory glance. Perils of ever increasing applications!
