Does anyone know if UT still uses those PAI formulas in the admissions process?
Very frustrating that non-auto people ranked below me in my school were already accepted to their CNS majors but I, after submitting my app in late October, have yet to hear back.
When might the next wave be? Next Friday before the break? Jan 1? Late January?
@amelchd tfw rank isn’t the only factor in holistic admissions
@nkasper I was better across the board quite honestly. Better rank, better test scores, better ECs. UT’s admissions process seems stranger and stranger to me every day.
Does anyone happen to know how the waves come out? Is It once a month, or can IT be more than once a month? Also, do they accept in order of the applications which have been submitted earlier, or based on who is most qualified for the school? I have yet to hear back, I applied for the priority deadline a few days before it was due.
@amelchd you shouldn’t have a problem getting admitted, then. Just be patient and enjoy your Christmas break and senior year.
Does anyone happen to know yesterday wave was big or small like November one?
It seemed small release but I am not sure.
…
@amelchd what were your stats
@ComplexX 15/192, 1440, 99.9 W GPA
Mccombs OOS New jersey Applicant
28 ACT
3.7 GPA
Extracurricular: President of a business club and on board of deca club, First Place at International Deca
What are my chances?
@BostonPats I am also an OOS student applying to McCombs, with strong extracurriculars and we have almost identical stats. Did you apply by the priority or the December 1st deadline? I applied several days before the December 1st deadline, so I am not expecting a decision anytime soon.
When is the next wave?
Probably mid january
Is it true that those that already received acceptances are legacy (have at least one parent that is a UT Austin Alum)?
@cudontknowme My D (OOS) was accepted and is not a legacy. Two others were accepted from her school and I don’t believe they are legacies either.
Are you a UT Austin legacy applicant (do you have at least one parent that was/is a UT Alum)?
Just been accepted to McCombs! So Excited! Non-Auto in-state
(sorry, content moved to engineering…)
UT does not even ask about legacy in the application, so no.
