That just came up on my page also
Okay let me get this straight… UT has only ever sent out waves on fridays and promised priority applicants a decision BY feb 1st. There wasn’t one today which means it has to be next week. So every priority applicant is going to find out on one day?? That’s insane and is going to cause the admissions office to be crazy.
I called the admissions office earlier about another matter (transcripts) related to the application. After that I asked about notification for 11/1 applicants. She said that they plan to do the largest notification on 2/1, however that they will probably need to start late 1/31 so as to not crash the system. She also said a few might get through in the meantime, but most people will find out 2/1, or late 1/31.
Thanks for sharing @TexArt
We had a great campus tour today which was followed by an information session with an admissions officer. He re-iterated that all priority applicants will hear by 2/1, but said what they hear may be “we need more time”. Not a deferral per se, but some applicants may not have a firm decision on 2/1. They had ~51,000 applicants and are swamped trying to get through them.
We were very impressed with the campus. It moved up my D’s list.
@kcheves Thanks for this info! It seems to clarify all the conflicting answers
Has anyone found out about the Forty Acres Scholarship?
Wait so on the bottom of my page it changed to: May not reflect all Information used for admission decision.
Does that mean anything?? Yesterday at 6 it said something about up to date as of 1/19/18, but now it is different
No it does not mean anything. That’s been on my page since I got an account on MyStatus.
all good! and no, there were not oos rejections yet near me (i’m from GA), but a reminder for everyone: there was a wave on the 19th, a decent sized one for oos.
My son OOS PA. No decision yet for he or his classmates who applied. 1 classmate to business, 2 engineering. My son applied in August engineering.
MY D OOS NY still waiting as well. Applied in SEPT to the nursing program. The waiting is killing us. I don’t want to go visit unless she gets in
can you please share your daughters STATS?
@kcheves UT had 51k applicants last year. You’d think that they would have hired more reviewers.

My D OOS FL has not heard anything either. Neither have any classmates. She applied by the priority deadline to McCombs. Very anxious to hear back, it’s a top choice. Visited campus. Loved it.
Are both regular and priority admissions hearing decisions now? Or just priority? Website said Feb 1 for Priority; and Mar 1 for regular. Regular here…
Just priority applicants are guaranteed a decision by feb 1st. You may get lucky though and be in the wave!
@c5texas at least some people who were not priority have heard already. i know a girl who applied really past nov 1( closer to dec 1) who got her major in the dec 15 wave. Also, anyone connected or affected by Harvey has priority status extended to Dec 1- so all of Houston for sure.
OOS chicago only 2 people from my school have heard in dec one business one education does that mean anything for the other people who havent heard yet? there are a bunch of kids who applied
has anyone heard for journalism (moody) yet?
