Since I can’t find it anywhere else on this website, I’m gonna start my own thread for it. What do some of your guy’s stats look like? I was looking back on some of the old stats and it seemed pretty easy to get in but last year my sister was rejected with an ACT of 34 and research experience under her belt. Any thoughts? Know anyone who got in last year? Please feel free to post stats.
When will decisions come out?
Based on previous years, the first round of notifications are mailed in December with additional rounds up to March.
Guess we will have to wait and see if that is the case this year :-?
I have a 35 on my ACT a 2330 on my SAT and a 790 Bio M subject test. I also have a summer of clinical research. Do you think I have a strong chance?
Yes but I believe class rank is also important. Is admissions strictly based on one’s quantitative data? Or do the essays play a significant role? I know they do for Plan II
My class rank is three and I wrote s good essay. I I think the essays are still important but not as much for Plan is. Btw, have any plan I results come out yet?

I haven’t heard about Dean’s Scholars but I did receive my Plan II acceptance today
Ohhh I’ll have to check the mailbox tomorrow. Are you also applying to Deans Scholars? What are your stats- if you don’t mind me asking?
Also I Just got my math two result of 730 back but I guess it’ll be too late for them to consider? I rush reported it but still. You don’t think it woulda made a huge difference anyways?
Yes I applied to Dean’s but haven’t heard back. I think anything above a 700 is good for a subject test in terms of UT.

Any research? I sent the scores of I’m not accepted in the first round hopefully they’ll have time to look at them. Man are all the applicants as qualified as you? I was reading the DS thread a few years ago and it seemed way easier to get in. Also my Plan ii letter isn’t in the mail. I live pretty close to Austin but not in Austin so maybe that’s why?
Yes- a year at a local university in the neurobiology department.
I know Plan II is sent out in waves so I wouldn’t be too concerned about not receiving a letter just yet.
From the looks of it, we are both well qualified! I don’t know about anyone else who is applying however.
i know some people who are and their scores are in my range but no research. just a few years ago you could get in with a 2100 but I was reading last year’s thread and there were people with 2380’s and 800s on subject tests getting rejected
My SAT is 2380 and I am ranked 7th in a class of 630. Got into Plan-II and waiting (very eagerly) for DS news. I realize that people with better scores have been rejected last few years.

i haven’t heard of anyone getting accepted yet from my school 
my friend got into plan ii last year with a ~2200 sat and a decent rank (top 15%) , if that comforts anyone
