UT Austin Exam in Texas Gov

UT Austin has a policy on receiving credit from AP US Gov & Politics that says we have to take a supplemental test in Texas Gov to receive credit for GOV 310. When’s a good time to take/register for this exam, knowing that AP scores don’t come out until July?

Here’s a heads up about the Exam:

A good time to take it is whenever you have time. The test is not at all difficult and requires very little preparation. If you are close to campus, going in August before you get caught up in freshman year is good but you can take it later in the semester too. Getting the credit applied to your degree plan before early October will help slightly with your degree completion and slightly improve your registration date and time for Spring classes but not enough to make a big deal about it.

There is no pressure to get this done. In fact, DS took it as a 4th year. Very easy to prep for.

Thanks for all the info! Very helpful
