Anyone wanting to transfer to UT- Austin ( Fall 2019) post here!
I want to transfer to UT Nursing this fall! I am a CAP student, but I do not want to go to Liberal Arts.
Is UT transfers admission rolling?
Hi! I applied to UT for radio-television-film. My application is complete & submitted, just waiting to hear back.
Hi! I applied to UT Nursing program as a transfer student for fall 2019 I had applied the previous year and got denied! I applied early around September 2018! Do y’all know if there is an early release for transfer students or is it just for freshman? Last year, I submitted my application in March and got notified around June 15th! GPA: 3.97
Does anybody know the difference between applying for Summer/Fall? Does choosing one increase/decrease your chances of getting in?
Finishing up my resume for my application! I will let y’all know when I submit. I’ll submit stats with the submission date.
3.71 GPA (52 credit hours), more than 300 volunteer hours, over 500 internship hours, 3 Letters of Recommendation (2 professors, 1 Baker Ripley Manager). Good essays. Texas Resident
Chances to get into CNS???
I also applied to CNS. My GPA is 3.86 and I have around 200 volunteer hours. Great essays and texas resident. 2 recommendations. The only issue is I haven’t taken calculus yet (I would take it over the summer) and I feel like they really want to see your calc score before they accept you. My sister has a 4.0, hundreds of volunteers hours, will have her associates when she graduates high school, top 10% of her class and got denied to the nursing program, yet a full ride to Baylor and ut Arlington. This shows how strict and hard UT Austin really is. Good luck everyone.
Please update people!!!
Just submitted application.

2nd Choice: Rhetoric and Writing

0 LOR
3.46 GPA
49 Hours
Currently a sophomore at Blinn
My essays are a home run.
I’m pretty sure I’ll at least get into Rhetoric and Writing then I’ll transfer into English. You probably didn’t even know that Rhetoric and Writing is a major.
Applied to CNS Human Development and Family Sciences. 8.84 GPA. Decent amount of volunteer hours. Decent Essays. 2 LOR.
I submitted my application last week.
I am a nontraditional (full-time) student.
GPA: 4.0
Hours: 77 (around 50-55 hours? transfer)
(I changed majors, hence the amount of hours.)
1st Choice: Computer Science
2nd Choice: Mathematics
Prerequisite/Recommended Coursework: I’ll have a science sequence (Chemistry) and Calculus I completed. (I’ll also have 3 COSC classes complete, but I think only COSC 1337 transfers, according to UT’s transfer equivalency. The other classes show as hours complete, which suggests they do not transfer.)
Current Location: ACC (in-state transfer)
ECs: None
Resume: Most recently I was an implementation consultant and previously a business analyst (with the same company for 11 years). My main job was to develop SQL and Python scripts. I worked full time since I was 18, and quit working last September to attend school full time (I was a part-time student for 4 years). I am 32 years old.
LORs: 3 total. 2 from previous professors.
Essays: Solid.
Awards: Placed 2nd in Best of Student Essays in “Advanced Research Argument” at another CC in Tennessee. The essays were submitted across three semesters by professors.
PTK: Yes, but I am not active.
Applied to transfer for the fall:
Major: Classical Studies
GPA: 4.0
Hours: 25
Texas resident, solid essays, and one recommendation letter.
Does anyone know when they start releasing decisions?
I wouldn’t imagine it will be until after the March 1st deadline. I read somewhere that they usually start is liberal arts and the first wave comes around March 15th or so. Good Luck!
April 15 what I have heard @student214415315
Does anyone know if it matters when you turn in your application? Do they start reviewing earlier?
I don’t think so, I think they start reviewing it all on March 1st.
Finishing up my last essay right now, but I’m a current freshman looking to transfer into Government (I don’t have my second calculus class yet)
Current School: University of Notre Dame
Current Major: Economics
