I don’t expect to see any updated information from them today because today is holiday. Am i right ?
oh yea good point @nakroth
I don’t think that precludes decisions from coming out tonight. I know UC-Berkeley just released their transfer decisions a few hours ago.
I’ll definitely post if I hear anything.
@Ramshorn #poglyfe
should we just expect decisions to be released next month? it doesn’t seem like anyone is hearing anything
hey everyone, i have a serious question! I see people are saying they’re “in review” and now im super scared! I am a freshman at a private university on Long Island. SAT 1130, HS GPA Unweighted 3.3, first semester GPA 3.75. I have 16 credits and 12 in process. They said they won’t review my application until they see my final spring 2019 transcript, which means I won’t hear back til June 15th the latest! Are my chances of getting in lower?? i also applied as a journalism student to the moody college of communication.
Texas Community College students, just in case some of you don’t know and hopefully, this is useful you may qualify for AUTOMATIC ADMISSION to UT Austin. The requirements are:
-Graduate in the top 10% of HS class in Texas
-Complete the core curriculum at your Community College
-2.5 College GPA
-Complete the Automatic Transfer Form
-Enrolled at CC right after HS

I think it still time to send the form
@ftransfer2019 I’m in the same boat as you… As a freshman, I had over 30 hours by the end of last semester but 15 of them were AP credit – I’m assuming that AP credit does not count in terms of the required 24 hours. I think that whether or not our chances of getting will depend on what our end-of-semester transcript looks like. I have a 4.0 and I’ve been trying to keep my 4.0 this semester since I’m applying for Comp. Sci… I think that as long as you keep your 3.75 GPA, your chances should stay relatively similar to your chances before the end of last semester. Let’s just hope that they don’t run out of room before they get to our files. Also, seeing as to how no one has gotten admission answers yet, we might be able to turn in our final transcripts before they even start releasing results lol
The only downside to their auto accept for transfers is that it only applies to majors within the College of Liberal Arts.
I’m applying for nursing and I have automatic transfer admissions. The automatic transfer means you have automatic admission to UT, but a holistic review for your major just like freshman admissions.
Do we think a wave could happen on Monday.?
@KZ0125 yeah I’m hoping! i’m assuming that they wouldn’t start accepting other transfers months in advance and make us wait when we applied at the same time, just because of our credit situation. I feel like most Fall transfers will get their decisions starting next month in mid May, and that’s around when we’ll start submitting our transcripts and get a decision. But remember there should be enough room because by June 15th freshman have long past made their decision and notified other schools that they’re not attending.
@KZ0125 Hey quick question. I was reading your post about how you had 30 hours but that 15 were AP so you weren’t in the review process. at the end of the fall 2018 semester I had 34 hours(19 AP), but i was still placed in review and wasn’t told I had to submit another transcript before my decision. I was just wondering if they specifically told you that your 30+ hours couldn’t contain AP, or if that was something you assumed because you were not in review. Thank You!
@Manelsea2000 If you look under the “To Do (Required)” tab on the MyStatus website, you’ll see a tab saying that you need to turn in your “Final Official College Transcript – [Your school’s name here]”. If you don’t see that then you should be fine.
And can you let me know if you don’t see it? I didn’t accept my AP credit until a few days before my fall semester ended which means that there’s a possibility that my school hadn’t logged my AP hours during the time that I had requested for a transcript to be sent to UT.
@KZ0125 Hey so I checked and It doesn’t have that final transcript requirement. I think UT may be only viewing your 15 hours, because as you stated the AP hours may have not been added to your transcript in time. Maybe call admissions and inquire about that, but I hope it doesn’t impact you negatively. Best of luck, and thank you for responding.
@Manelsea2000 Thank you for the heads up! I’m going to call them sometime this week and hopefully, they’ll help me sort things out. They might ask me to send them an updated version of the transcript which could be a good thing since I’ve accepted my AP Physics C credits recently.
So I assume noone has heard anything? It really seems logical that the next possible “wave” is due out on Friday May 3rd. The deadline for new Freshmen to accept their offers is May 1st. That would give the board the number of spots available on the 2nd and release on the 3rd. Let’s hope it is then, or sooner!
Someone on the UT Austin Admissions Discord thread called admissions this morning and the representative said that no decisions will come out before May.
Last year people found out starting mid-April. The wait is killing me!!
