UT Austin Fall 2019 Transfer

Patience and faith, friends. My theory is they want the final count of freshman’s attending so they can figure out what space is available for us transfers  best of luck

Can anyone offer advice for housing? I know this is super premature, but since we won’t know about our admissions till last minute it seems, did you guys apply for on campus? I really do not want to pay that extreme of a cost, what are some options you guys are considering?

@Gtownboogie I live in an apartment complex that’s on the UT shuttle route so I don’t have to pay for parking. My rent is $650/month for a 4x4 rent includes everything plus cable and internet.

@theonegoof which apartment complex do you live in? That’s a really good rent price

@uttransfer20 I live in University Estates at Austin but there is also University Villages right next door. I think their prices are the same.

Try 24 Longview. Its in West campus, build in 2014. Has 3x2 and 4x2 units starting at 699.

I was automatically admitted senior year of high school but chose to stay local at 4 year university for a year and try and earn more scholarship money and missed out on a chance to join the CAP program, is it possible this could benefit or hurt me in the decision process?

@gwalk956 I’m not sure what the exact criteria is, but if you were a high school automatic admit, you might qualify for automatic transfer admission, too. You should look into it.

Hey Walk-456; Could be very interested is that per person rate or total?

Anyone hear back yet with anything? Was reading that last year some people already heard back by now.

It’s per person!

Also females only! I’m sorry I forgot to mention that before. Not my choice:(

Is it for the full year or just the academic year?

just the academic year. Move in date is August 18th I believe and then through May 2020. My email is lauren.obrien121@gmail.com, please contact me if interested! I already paid for the security deposit:)

@Utpremed19 Automatic admit does not apply to transfer who attend a four year university. The automatic acceptance if you were top 6% in your high school only applies to high school students and college students attending a 2-year university
