UT Austin Fall 2019 Transfer

yeah, I also got an email about my financial aid back in March

Anyone got admitted by TAMU?

Yeah I did at like the beginning of this month for Econ

I got admitted for History at TAMU

I was admitted for history as well

I saw on reedit that someone said they heard people have gotten into McCombs and Cola already… have y’all heard anything about that?

@UTHopeful2345 I just checked reddit and no one has heard anything about people being accepted, I wouldn’t expect anything until May.

I believe that we will find out closer to Mid May!

For anyone looking for housing:

If I don’t get into UT I will need someone to take over my current lease at University Estates at Austin. I have a 4x4 apartment, rent includes everything and is $650/month. I have a reserved parking spot right in front of my building, the biggest bathroom in the unit and the apartment has been smoke-free. Please understand that this is NOT A SUBLEASE but a reassignment, you would we signing a completely new contract taking over my lease and I would no longer be responsible in any way for the apartment.
The room is furnished with a double extra long bed, a dresser, desk and chair and has carpeted flooring. The bathroom has a tub/shower, wood floors, a window above the shower, and ample shelving for storage. The complex is on the UT shuttle route that sends a bus every 15-20mins that takes you right to the center of campus. And it has a pool, gym, clubhouse, study area with free printing, and a tanning bed. My unit has a new hot water heater, couch, and chair, as well as newly painted cabinets, tub, and sinks. Washer and dryer are in-unit.
Please feel free to email me at thepenandink99@comcast.net or private message me on CC if you’re interested or have any questions.
The apartment complex website is: https://www.universityestatesataustin.com/

Guys, it is almost May, do any of you guys hear think UT will want our grades from this semester. TAMU wants my grades from this semester.

@sweetsassysaira if you do not have 24hrs already completed not including this semester then yes, they will want the grades from this semester before making your decision.

TAMU wants my grades for this semester because one of their required courses for transfer is gen chem 2, which I am taking right now. I think if you do not have 24 hours already then UT will say the same thing TAMU said, that your admission is pending your final transcript from this semester. I would like to think that UT would tell you that though.

has anyone applied for transfer admission and gotten accepted? i applied in early march and still haven’t gotten a response. I’m pretty worried

@coolfrijoles none of us have heard anything! Freshman’s have to let them know if they’re attending or not by tomorrow. So I’m assuming they’re seeing how much space is available before accepting.

I have gotten word from someone in a regional admissions office that they are aiming to release transfer decisions on or around around 6/15. Also, in case anyone else has other schools that they must confirm/deny by a certain date, UT doesn’t do advanced decisions.

what about people who applied for summer?

@RUTG UT’s website also says that, generally, people who are applying to transfer for the fall will hear by June 15, so that is probably their blanket statement

Yea June 15th is the latest they can release a decision, but I don’t think we will all have to wait until that date.

Speaking from my own personal experience. unless you do not have 24 hours before spring, you will find out before June. Admissions counselors don’t have the answers so calling is pointless. Even then, when I applied last year and did not have 24 credits before spring, I heard back by May 29th.

I think it’s just important to remember that any admissions person you talk to will give you a different answer. Calling and asking is pretty much pointless but if you choose to call then that’s up to you, I think it’s better to not put whatever you were told into the thread because it causes some people to panic and all the different information is confusing
