UT Austin Fall 2019 Transfer

@RUTG My dad was an alum from BU, so he took me around and gave me the tour. Any questions about BU I am happy to answer them!!

I have 59 credit hours, and I was accepted. The admission team worries about applicants above 60 hours completed. Do not worry if you are near or slightly over the mark.

Okay, I know calling admissions usually gets you nowhere but is anyone planning to call regarding another offer? Like a lot of people, I have to submit my commitment to another school by June 1st, but UT is my top choice, so I was considering calling to let admissions know that I was considering another offer and hopefully get an estimated decision date. However, I feel like they might just give me the same meaningless answer others in this thread have received… Hopefully, a decision will come soon for all of us!

Hopefully, eventually we all receive positive news in the coming weeks. If not, I will take the semester off and apply to a couple European universities I am pretty 100% sure a university there would love to me as a student than UT after what I have been seeing in the last couple months. They weren’t even diligent enough to ask me about my spring grades, one of them happens to be a core. I honestly have been suffering (not as much) because I have been so tense about a simple request that they’re weren’t wiling to give to their applicants.

Has anyone been through the process of getting your credits evaluated? When I called the admissions office, they told me that the only thing they need to see is my transcript in order to give me my earned credits; however, can anyone verify this information?

If UT wants your spring transcripts, it will say it on MyStatus. If it says your application is in review then they already have everything they need to make a decision

Do all other international student applications have “Complete” as opposed to “In Review”?? Mine still shows “Complete” but that may just be because they haven’t started looking through international applicants yet?

@jankma15 I’m international and mine shows “Your file is in review.”

@buziaz what major are you?
I’m electrical eng, so I’m thinking that could be why mine is still saying “Complete”. From what I understood, Cockrell is one of the last departments to get decisions.

@jankma15 I applied for B.A. in design, School of Design and Creative Technologies. I’m actually surprised I haven’t heard back yet. Last year COFA was the first one to receive the decisions.

@sweetsassysaira Which European colleges did you have in mind? If UT doesn’t accept me I was thinking of exploring colleges abroad as well.

Hi everyone,

Just discovered this website so if y’ll are looking for stats here’s mine:

I was admitted on 5/6 to the College of Liberal Arts

GPA: 3.74
Credits: 70+
Major: Philosophy
Lots of volunteer hours and work experience
Solid essays (Type A and C)
1 letter of rec

Considering there was a wave on 5/6, I’m hoping for some decisions today.

@ksol1234 what website?

@lauronce I have a couple in mind,
-Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany, est. 1472)
-Charles University in Prague, (Czech Republic, est. 1348)
-University of Padua (Italy, est. 1222)

  • University of Basel (Switzerland, est. 1460)
    The first three schools are massive like UT. These schools are also located in amazing cities as well. If I do the rest of undergrad in Europe, I will definitely return to the states for my masters.

@sweetsassysaira

Czech citizen here!

Charles University is an awesome choice if you do choose to go there.

Any summer applicants heard back yet? I just created our own discussion if you’d like to join. My file still reads in review.

Quite honestly… each week they make us wait, the less I want to go to this school.

I would honestly rather hear I got denied at this point, than keep waiting for this school.

@buziaz ahh I see, that’s probably why then. I’d say you’ll hear back within 2 weeks. Good luck!
