For those who have applied to Baylor, how long did it take for a response back from admissions? I’m considering applying!

FWIW, try posting your chance me posts on the UT Austin Admissions #chanceme Discord thread (or even subreddit). There’s decent traffic there and those guys (the mods) are happy to chance you.

@HornHopeful19 I applied and got accepted into Baylor a week later!

Anyone receive an answer yet regarding status into the nursing program for a fall transfer student??

@KrazyKay My app is still in review for nursing (fall 2019 transfer) I doubt we’ll hear before June. I haven’t heard of anyone receiving a decision for the nursing program yet

Thank you!! Do you happen to know how many transfer students are accepted??

@KrazyKay I don’t. At the information session I attended they said that they place you based on your progress in the degree plan. So for instance I’ve completed classes for the first three semesters of their degree plan therefore come fall 2019, I’m considered an S2 (2nd semester sophomore). I’m hoping that means I’ll have a better chance of getting in since most students would be S1 in the fall but it’s basically whatever they have space for ??‍♀️

The amount of UT’s admission people is overwhelming. I need to travel overseas, do you guys suggest me stay till getting my acceptance and get my registration stuff done or it’s ok If I leave now (I won’t comeback until August)?

I don’t think going now is a great idea if you won’t be back all the way until August. You can maybe try calling and telling them your situation and see if they can give you a timeframe. @Reza_PGE

Has anyone heard anything?

@HornHopeful19 nope ://

@Reza_PGE I think you would be ok to travel! they have an orientation date specifically for people who do travel, it is August 20th -21st (right before move in)! So as long as you are back by then and are able to check my status while you are gone you should be fine!

@speechpathopeful thank you so much. that’s what my friend in UT said. I’ll just call them to make sure and will post here what said in case if anyone else has the same problem.

The waiting is driving me nuts! I heard somewhere they’re doing waves on Friday at 5, can anyone confirm this? Thank you!! :slight_smile:
