UT Austin Fall 2019 Transfer

@melibaby1096 don’t give up hope! I’m planning on applying to other schools soon because they have late deadlines. If you’re a texas resident I know Texas Tech and UNT have deadlines of July 25th and July 1st. It’s not too late!

@ftransfer2019 I haven’t heard back yet but I’m just gonna assume that I won’t get in. I’m from Virginia and in VA schools do have a preference for instate but its more of a 70/30 or an 80/20 ratio which I feel like its a better ratio and we don’t have automatic admissions for any of our colleges… texas is weird lol its been my dream school for so long but its so expensive and so hard to get into

what was the gpa when you applied?

@sweetsassysaira what was the gpa when you applied?

Rejected! I was expecting it, congrats to everyone.

GPA: 3.7
Major: Chemical Engineering

Essays: Honestly my essays slapped. Wrote about my creek restoration project and then my mom.

@novatosoca yeah it really is crazy the automatic acceptance! don’t lose hope yet though you never know! it is weird cause I thought I had a bit more of a chance too bc a girl from my graduating class in HS got into UT so I thought that would be a factor as well.

@ftransfer2019 no i really am stuck at utsa. my parents gave me 2 options, UT or UTSA. typical asian family where they want me to stay at home forever or go to the best school (in texas). I applied to UNT when i graduated highschool but they wouldnt let me go.

just got accepted at 1:00 to COLA sustainability studies. I had a 3.77 GPA and 24 hours. I was at UTSA architecture before and I had really good essay because I had learned a lot about sustainability in my architecture classes!!! I’m so happy and good luck to everyone else!!! HOOK EM
