@AllenGlen her my status now says that she is accepted where it used to say under review. It really is tiny. We haven’t checked the mail yet.
Thanks so much. I had been led to believe they wanted their first contact to be by mail. Very confused. THANK YOU
@AllenGlen I think it has always been snail mail in the past.
Generally, PII admissions strives to inform admits via snail mail–that thick beige envelope!
But sometimes timing with the online notification is overlapped. My son found out one day checking his MyStatus and and learned he was accepted into Cockrell–the day afterward (almost missed it!) he saw the online notification update of his acceptance to Plan II.
A little trick for those anxiously awaiting snail mail from UT or other schools. Sign up for email alerts on the MyUSPS site and you will receive early morning digital images of what will arrive in that day’s mail. It is a service to prevent mail theft but is beautiful for parents/studetns who would like to know in advance whether a big envelope or small envelope is coming in the day’s mail!
Need a little help.
I was admitted into plan 2 but I recently moved (like two weeks ago) and changed my address on the UT portal about a week ago. I’m pretty sure that they sent stuff out before I got around to changing it. If I call UT do you think they’ll send me a new packet.
Call the admissions director, Kerry Pasquale, directly (email and phone on the Plan II website under Staff List). She’ll make sure that you get the admissions packet.
My son received his Plan II acceptance packet in the mail today.
@PupIsUp Congratulations to your son! Did his MyStatus update already?
There was no communication to advise of Plan 2 acceptance this past week. It was just there.
@CollegeParent123 This was a great suggestion! Thank you. I am all signed up now.
@freshmesh167 His “my status” updated on Monday, and it was a tiny little indication, so getting the envelope today was a solid confirmation. He was checking his UT portal for other reasons and was happily surprised to see the Plan II acceptance on there, minuscule as it was. Clearly the intention is for students to get the snail mail first. Good luck to everyone!
So on MyStatus for my majors section, Plan II disappeared and it’s now only showing my other major choice. Does this mean anything?
my daughter’s acceptance packet came in the mail today. Houston area
Another one of my friends just found out that they got accepted into Plan II via MyStatus!
Can one of y’all answer me? What does it say when you find out you’re accepted?
In place of the “we are reviewing your application” it changes to “you were accepted to”. Its in tiny grey font above Plan II Honors.
@MaybeHarvard2022 I don’t know what it disappearing means, but when you are accepted that tiny line that says “your application is under review” becomes you have been accepted. Maybe you should contact Plan 2 about it disappearing if you didn’t get anything in the mail.
Any people get notification of acceptance in the past week?
Assumed the office was closed over Christmas but not sure??
