Hello there! Thanks for reading, as a starter.
I'm a senior in high school and am going to apply to UT Austin. My goal
is to be a pharmacist.

However, I'm VERY confused on how to accomplish this.
I know you have to do two years of pre-pharm at UT and THEN apply to their pharmacy school.

Where do I apply to for pre-pharm? Is there an actual program for pre-pharm....
or do I pick a major [such as biology] complete all the required courses, take pcat etc. then apply to their pharmacy school?

The way I got it from their website is that I apply to the College of Natural Sciences, do the required classes and then two years later apply to pharmacy school.
Is that correct?

Thank you!

Also, sorry!
I definitely want to do honors at UT.
Is it okay to do Dean Scholar’s even if I’m in there for two years?

Can I apply to Liberal Arts also? I’m thinking about double majoring in economics and pharmacy. Thanks!!

Well, if you’re only going to do two years of school and not get a bachelor’s, I see no point in double majoring. You can major in anything you want. And yes, just complete the required prerequisites for pharmacy school (which will vary between each school) and then apply after. There is a pre-pharm “major” that you can apply for.

And for your other thread about a minor, I think that would be pointless since you’re not getting a bachelors and have to take prerequisites for pre-pharm for two years. I would try and get a bachelors and then apply Pharmacy school if I were you.

Here’s a link the pre-pharm curriculum. [University of Texas - College of Pharmacy - Pharm. D. Curriculum](http://www.utexas.edu/pharmacy/admissions/curriculum.html)

thank you so much!!! would you recommend going without a minor? i mean just doing pre-pharmacy by itself?
