UT-Austin Spring 2010 incoming freshman application

I graduated in the top ten percent and want to apply to UT-Austin for the spring semester. During the middle of my senior year I wasn't in the top ten percent so I wasn't automatically admitted, but when graduation came around I walked as a top ten percent student. Under these circumstances can I now get in? According to the rules listed on the admissions page, I should considering my rank.I'd be applying to the liberal arts college as an English or philosophy major. I've heard of students taking a gap semester.I'd work during this time to raise a little money for school or take one or two classes at a community college to save some money. Entering the school year in the spring wouldn't effect my graduation date considering I've taken some duel-credit classes and have AP credit that would transfer to UT. Really I don't mind going to college halfway through the year when everyone has already buddied up. I'm used to being a new kid and the social aspect of starting a little late doesn't phase me. I just don't want to get hit with some restrictions that would keep me out of UT next spring. I have back-up, but Austin is what I'm really anticipating.

thanks so much in advance for any help.

Four questions: Did you apply to any other UT campuses? Did you get CAP’d? Are you a Texas resident? What is your backup?

I applied to the Arlington campus but did not complete the application, I was not offered admission to the CAP program, I am a Texas resident and my backup is applying to a different public Texas college such as UNT, TxState University, or one of the other schools in the Texas University system. My initial application for the fall semester 2009 was only considered on a space available basis and was not accepted, but I was not in the top ten percent then and was applying to a more competitive school at UT.
