I would hate to be accepted and have to decline due to time constraints and deadlines.
I just called the admissions office and asked if they would have a decision by December 3rd. She told me they haven’t given them any information at all about decision dates and that as of today there have been no transfer decisions released yet. I was given no time frame like a lot of you have gotten.
i’m a freshman applicant, and haven’t heard back either, it’s not just transfers
Well freshman’s have a lot of time but transfers don’t we have to reply to other colleges if we are attending or no. It’s not about freshman or transfer it’s just that they need to make a decision ASAP
Yeah its not cheap to book flights, find a place to live, register for classes, all in less than 3 weeks. But I guess that is none of their concern for spring transfers. We can whine all we want lol
Many freshmen on twitter celebrating their acceptances, meanwhile…
There won’t be any classes open for me to take at this rate.
I guess we might hear something by Friday? Since from past threads they seem to release decisions on Fridays. Some people said they heard back by mid Dec/early Jan, which is too late for a number of us… I’m not sure if that’s gonna happen
I hope so! Fingers crossed!!? If I don’t get decision by this Friday, I’m moving on. I’ll accept admission into another university!
What are your other choices??
Whenever y’all call the admissions office, keep in mind the people you’re talking to are students who work there so they genuinely don’t have any legit answers for us. I’m hoping to hear back this week or next week at the latest so I have time to get my life together over Christmas break lol!!
really? then since people who respond to calls in the admission office are students… is it possible to receive a more determined answer by emailing the office? or is everything done by students and we have no choice but to wait this week and…maybe next week.
I wanted to email too but at the same time I don’t want to seem desperate in the eyes of admissions office!
You’re right… the office doesn’t seem to like seeing too many emails… I sent them a confirmation email a few months ago because I mailed a document without putting my name on it and the office replied they received the document and told me not to send further emails unless I have a serious question… I was about to send a ‘thank you’ and thought that might not be necessary in that case :/.
I’m not sure @Anonymooous99 it would be worth a shot maybe, but I’m sure its just student workers that would reply
I think since student workers are answering thats why everyone gets a different answer of the general time frame we will find out!
I agree… the actual full-time workers in there should have a more unified answer but we just can’t reach them… I guess I’ll send an email anyway if I don’t hear anything by Friday.
Me: Excuse me UT, might you know when you’ll release decisions?
UT: Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
Just got an email from Austin to check mystatus for some information. Logged in and my applications still in review…
Is this finally the first drop of the upcoming storm?
Guess it’s about to come out…? At least they have been informed to start sending out messages and that’s why you received that email? I think you can send them an email about that if nothing appears on your MyStatus.
