@seanq1 I think that you have a good chance in being accepted. You have a lot of credit hours as a freshman and a good gpa and other great credentials. However, nothing is certain. Best of luck!
If I don’t hear anything tomorrow, I just might spontaneously combust.
@justgpa Spontaneous Applicant Combustion (SAC) is actually a component in UT Austin’s overall enrollment management plan. It accounts for approximately 8% of admission outcomes per application cycle.
@seanq1 I’m in the same boat. I’m at UH right now, but I probably won’t hear back from UT until I send my transcript in mid-December when final grades are in. Your stats look pretty good. Best of luck. Also, I feel really stressed about hearing back in January because I’m supposed to head to USC in January (I was a spring admit there), and UT is probably not going to let me know by then…
@habbas0723 anything wrong with UH? That was one of my schools i applied to for spring as well.
@eastcoastlivin no UH is actually really okay. they do a lot for the students and I think it is very possible to thrive there academically. I am only here for a semester though because I was admitted as a spring admit for the University of Southern California, but they said I should do something with my first semester so I am on track with the rest of the Class of 2022 when I join them there
Interesting… @habbas0723 . Figured USC is a better school than UT anyways so why worry about the UT decision, if I may ask.
Got in 2 days ago at 7pm to COLA HDO! 3.72 GPA, 4 LORs, good resume, and essays. Goodluck!
is it possible to get a decision on Saturday and Sunday?
Admissions office told me on the phone it was possible, but if I’ve learned anything in this thread it’s that the admissions office will say just about anything.
I feel sry for everyone who doesn’t live in ATX. At this point housing will be nonexistent, or ridiculously expensive.
