Last Spring students got accepted with much lower GPA’s than what I’ve seen thus far this year.
Hope those peeps are included in the next wave!??
I was reading the forum for last year, and there are plenty of students who still got acceptances this late.
I know I’m just really hoping here, but…why wait till the very end to bin all those deemed not good enough? I’d think getting rid of the denied applications firstly would be a much easier way to deal with the entire pool of applicants. No? Ugh.
@Sith77
That wouldn’t make a lot of sense. There’s no reason to reject anyone until they are at max capacity.
I’m thinking they are holding all rejections until they fill out their capacity. I’m guessing the longer it takes to find out, the more unlikely to get in. It would make sense they release by school, so if some schools have not sent out their info, that could still be OK.
@Txfiretomed Okay.
@DadinFrisco I’ve pondered your points, and that would make sense, except there have been many rejections already in the previous waves, especially the first wave. As I was told much earlier in this thread its naive to think all those that joined CC are going to post their rejections. You may well be correct though.
everything being said now makes sense, but I’m not going to lose hope. I’m still waiting on my decision because I’m a freshman at the moment and don’t have a transferable gpa yet (although I have like 50 hours bc of AP scores). my finals ended today though so hopefully I can send my final semester grades’ transcript soon. I think I’m going to have a 4.0, wrote pretty good essays, and have a lot of hours (plus three Rec letters). the only thing that’s freaking me out is that grades don’t have to be in till December 17th at the school I just finished my semester at… oh and I applied for Public Health in CNS
I’m hoping CNS still has another wave to send out because there haven’t been many CNS acceptances and there seems to be a lot of CNS people still waiting
Guys whats a better premed: Biochemistry at A&M or Medical lab science at UT ?
“i’m not actually going to attend UT if i get in” -peachyyy
But go ahead and take the opportunity from someone else. You’re gonna go far!
@IAJ2019 Go where you feel you can excel.
Anyone hear anything?
I don’t think anyone heard from UT today
we do know for sure people have been hearing at 7pm. I don’t think they have any systematic order in terms of releasing acceptances/rejections.
I have slim Hope’s lads:(
ever heard of a waitlist?
if i get in and someone else gets waitlisted because of it, then they’ll get accepted when i notify UT. you people are hateful. i’m allowed to apply to a college even if i don’t know if i’m going to attend it. because i can’t AFFORD it.
UT doesn’t waitlist!
I don’t think anyone is meaning to be hateful, but just frustrating to have someone on this thread saying that they’re not even seriously considering accepting if they are admitted; surely you can understand that, right? Probably just didn’t need to mention your lack of interest at this point when so many students are stressed out without a back up plan. Good luck to you in whatever you decide.
@peachyyy I totally get where you’re coming from, I also can understand how people are upset at this. I do not believe UT has a waitlist for transfer students.
thank you. i can also understand how people are upset. the thing is, i’m applying for actuarial science, and as far as i’m aware, it’s a pretty unpopular major. i really doubt i’ll be taking anyone’s spot, especially considering i have a bad grade in one of my math classes.
i didn’t realize that people would be this upset over my application. sorry for taking up room on this thread. i wish all of you luck and hope you hear your answers soon!!
