<p>If I plan on submitting the app close to the midnight Dec 1st priority deadline, does anyone know if the Apply Texas website gets overloaded or crashes usually?? (due to too much traffic...)</p>
<p>I wouldn’t know, but it just might. People will try to scramble and be in a frenzy to send out their applications; it’ll be like Black Tuesday.</p>

<p>The deadline for all honors applications have been extended to Tuesday Dec 6. You still have to initially send in general online application by the Dec 1 deadline though.</p>
<p>wow that’s awesome! But does it really take 3 days for the UT app to register before I’m able to submit the Honors app? That sounds risky…</p>
<p>Well for me it took less than three hours to get the email with my UT-EID, and from that you can access the honors app. It can vary from person to person though. Depending on what honors school you’re applying to, you have varying requirements. My friend applied for engineering honors, and apparently all you have to do is the online honors app. It shouldn’t take long, but try not to submit it at the very last minute unless you have to for some reason.</p>
<p>You need to be ready to write the 250 word essay for engineering honors on why you want to do engineering and that particular major.</p>

how long should the essays be for the general app?
Also, what kind of essay is the adcom looking for topic B (describe an issue of importance)? Should it be about a specific law, court case, or can it be about a general trend at my school or something else that is not so concrete and specific but rather subjective?</p>
<p>Sorry for the misinformation about the engineering honors app. The essays on the general app should generally be about a page single spaced. My issue for topic B was more on a general trend, so I’m sure that’d be fine.</p>
