UT Austin Test for credit PHY 303L and 303N

Hey Everyone,

I am going to be a sophomore at UT this Spring and have to take PHY 303L, Electricity and Magentism. I heard that taking it in Austin is terrible, however, I was not able to take it over the summer. Now I have a few weeks left of summer and I have been studying the book on my own and want to test out of it through the testing center. Has anyone taken this test (or any similar one) for credit and could let me know a little more about it? It says online that we cannot use a calculator which is weird for a physics test.

Thanks a lot!

Good luck! I don’t know anything about the test for credit, but it sure is a good idea. That class was horrible when I took it 30 years ago, and apparently it hasn’t gotten any better. My son took it at ACC, and it wasn’t bad at all.

You should post your question on the UT forum - you might have better luck getting an answer.
