I'm a student at ACC and I'm two years out of high school with a GPA of 3.42 and 78 credits earned. (N.B. I messed up my GPA taking co-enrollment college classes in high school and those bring my GPA down. Otherwise, it would be ~3.87; that is to say there is a definite upward trend, if that counts for anything.)

As far as math-centric classes are concerned, I've got A's in Calc II and III, Engineering Physics I and II, and B's in Calc I and Diff Eq. Then there are 2 B's in College Algebra and Macro Economics hanging around from high school. Is that a weak GPA to try and transfer into either of these two universities? It's my understanding CNS at UT takes people with around a 3.6 GPA. Would I really need to have good extracurriculars or essays to have an okay chance at either of them?
