Hey everyone,

I am currently an undergraduate freshman Biology Major in my 2nd semester at UTSA.I was originally going to transfer in Fall 2014, but I am a current biology major and I took college algebra during the fall (which I learned does not transfer) and am currently taking Pre Cal during the spring, so thus I couldn't meet the CNS Calculus requirement. Well, I will be taking Calculus in Fall of 2014, and I was wondering If someone could chance me?

EC's: none

Letters of Recommendation: 1 or 2

Fall 2013 GPA: 3.31 ( I know, really low and I would've had a 3.56 if it wasn't for a 79.4 in my bio class:/ )

Spring 2014 GPA: It looks like it could be ~ 3.75

(Side question, does UT factor in Fall 2014 GPA as well? Because the application deadline is October 1st)

Making my cumulative = 3.50

I know, I know, its really low. UT looks at GPA the most on applications and not excuses but its just that I had a hard time fitting in here. It was also tough transitioning from High School to College, it was a slap in the face for me to wake up. On other threads I've heard that UT likes seeing an upward trend in GPA. My EC's are not very good, in fact i have none, I was going to volunteer/etc over the summer but I will be out of the country for 2 months in the summer.

How do my chances look like to getting in? I know it's bleak, but 2 of my professors who know me very well could write good letters of recommendation. Also, I am very good at writing essays.

I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I will put this up here: I was offered CAP through other schools but not UTSA (due to my SAT score). However, I was getting my F1 visa through UTSA (I was previously an international student but now I am a green card holder and a permanent resident) and thus I couldn't just leave it, so I had to enroll here. Does this factor into anything?

Any feedback would be grateful, I appreciate everyone who took the time to look at this and answer my question. Thank You Very Much!
