I am currently a freshman at Auburn University in Alabama seeking transfer to UT Austin. I am a Texas resident, should end with a 3.7 accumulative GPA from Auburn university in my freshman year. I am applying for Civil Engineering, I filled out the whole application process at the end of January. I also have a letter of recommendation from an established alum at UT austin. She knows the dean of engineering and dean of civil engineering personally. Just wanted to know what chance I have of getting accepted. I know engineering is one of the harder majors to transfer into. What do you guys think?

You have a good chance. Most people getting accepted to Cockrell have around a 3.7.
