I'm having a hard time deciding between UT Austin, Cornell ,and Duke because I'm thinking of concentrating in either management or finance in grad school.I know UT Austin has a really good business school in general, but I do not know as much about Cornell and Duke.

UT Austin: I got into Business Honors at McCombs, so I may concentrate in management or information technology systems. But I also got into Plan II honors, which is a selective program that allows students to have a broad liberal arts education. Since Plan II is its own major, I will most likely only have time to do the Plan II major and Management through business honors. (So the computer science thing may not happen)

At Cornell and Duke, I would double major in economics/computer science or get a major in economics and a minor in computer science.

Any advice would be helpful-and thanks in advance.

I know people who major in BHP, Plan II and a business concentration. The BHP major is just what you get for doing the business core in MBA-style classes so you can major in BHP and a business concentration without taking extra classes. Plan II is the same thing for liberal arts, and the Plan II major is what will be adding additional courses for you. Most people in McCombs come in with enough AP 5’s to get at least a semester or two of the general core out of the way so they can take on additional majors more easily.

Hey, I got into Plan II as well! And though I’m not BHP-ing I’m also going to McCombs.

So my opinion is super biased, but you should go to UT BHP gives you massive opportunities and an amazing network. openedskittles covered everything else too lol.
