well, NYU is a private university so most everyone has an equal opportunity, UT is public and with the 10% law still in effect for this year it may be harder to get in but there are others that have so it won’t be impossible possibly about as competitive as NYU…

If you have the credentials, UT Austin CompSci is pretty easy to get in.

I’d say it depends largely on your class rank/GPA, but in general, I’d say that NYU is harder to get into.

I know someone who was rejected from UT in state but accepted to NYU OOS.
Since you are OOS I would think that NYU would be easier.

I notice you are from New Jersey therefore the rules relating to out of state students would apply to you. Both schools will look at many factors in weighing admission, however, it will probably be easier for you to get into NYU as they will be more familiar with your high school and may not weigh your class rank as heavily.

lol what if my school doesn’t rank?
my UWGPA: 3.8, WGPA: 4.4

Grades look good. Test scores and extracurricular activities and essays matter too though, so make sure those are also good. It is fine that your school doesn’t rank; no problem.
