I received the offers both from UW-Seattle majoring in social science and UT-Austin majoring in communication, and now I'm wondering which one to go. I've always wanted to major in Communication and I'm looking for a school which located in big city and has better job oppurtunities in the future.. if I go to UW I'll have to transfer to communication major( is it difficult to change major in UW?)..Seattle seems to be better place to study communication cause it's bigger and has a better location. However, UT seems to have a better communication program. So, which one should I choose? Thanks for helping

I’d go with UT. I’ll be going in as a freshman this fall.
My cousin (who was from Austin) went to UWash, and she did not like it at all. The rainy city really didn’t work for her. She wasn’t a communcations major, so I can’t say much about that. But UT is a very highly ranked school, and I’m pretty sure their communcations program will be great.

I applied to both UT and UW-Seattle as a transfer and still have not heard back form UW so it made my decision of UT very easy but I could see how it would be a hard choice. If it was me , I would look at the programs and which one is stronger and then location. I love Seattle area though so it would be a really hard choice for me.

I like UW-Seattle, but I hate too many rainy days. Even if Seattle were always sunny though I would still go with Austin just because of personal fit. Austin is becoming a mecca of clean, high-tech industry and innovation/entrepreneurship.
