UT Austin vs UCLA

I have been admitted to both the Turing Honors Program at UT Austin and to UCLA for CS under the school of engineering, but I am having trouble comparing the two and deciding.

I'm OOS for both.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these programs or any suggestions?

Thanks!

IMHO it is not worth 50K/year or more to attend UCLA as a OOS student. I don’t know the cost at UT OOS. The UCs are still a good deal for CA residents, but the class size will tend to be large, its sometimes hard to get the classes you need, and for that price you can get a more personal experience at a private (eg. faculty advisor, smaller class sizes esp. in intro classes, etc). And don’t think that you’ll just pay the cost for a year or two and then qualify for in-state rates; they have set things up to make this pretty much impossible.
