Undecided in major, but visited both campuses and fell in love with both. I'm politically liberal and love the outdoors, so UCSB seemed like heaven to me, but I loved the big city vibe in Austin. I do party but I'm by no means a party animal. Also I'm interested in internships/jobs, but overall your opinions?

money is of no issue

I can validate your loving UCSB, it is a wonderful place to go to school. However, I’m sure in the UT Austin forum they will tell you great things about that school. If you are applying for next year, apply to both, the decision factor might help narrow it down. It is hard to talk about internships if I don’t know your major, but obviously people at UCSB get them… DC internships, pre law internships, computer science internships, JPL, all kinds of internships…

have you decided? I’m going on an exchange next year and my two top choices are UT and UCSB

Depends on what you want. UCSB has excellent research opportunities and is not as big of a party school as people make it out to be. Almost everyone is very friendly and there are a lot of very attractive people haha. But anyways, their science and engineering departments get a lot of praise, but I’ve heard UT has some good stuff too. (You might notice I’m only commenting on the UCSB side of things, that’s cause that’s all I really know). Anyways good luck
