Which one has a better journalism/communications program? I am torn between these tow. Please help!

Here are the only two j-school rankings I could find... unfortunately, both are pretty old, and UT & UF only appear on the first list, and are fairly equally ranked, which doesn't help much toward solving your dilemma.

Have you been accepted to both? Have you visited? Really, the schools are very similar "on paper" such that you should make the decision based on "soft factors" - whichever school you feel most comfortable and connect with the people. Oh, except for the fact that Austin is a much better city than Gainesville, in my somewhat-biased opinion!

i don't know anything about gainesville, but the scene in austin (in my opinion) with its culture, environment, and personality is very inspiring, but then again i am from west texas, so any topography that doesn't mimic a straight line is inspiring.

austin is really good school

austin is better for journalism

Thanks(10 char)

UF for Undergrad, but UTX for Graduate School. UTX has to take the top 10% of all graduating Texans.

Also UF has shot up in the rankings as of late, and there is no reason to think that they will bottom out any time soon.
