I talked to an admissions counselor. He said May 15 but that a delay was possible…

really? It says no later than may 15th and my mother recently called and she said the admissions coun. had said may 15. idk

I’m surprised no one’s heard back… probably not a good sign

I talked to the guy yesterday and he said everyone will know on the 15th. So don’t say that

And many people I know have accepted ut and a different school bc they are still deciding. This is taking space… So I think we should call and notify admissions of this

Yes and I have accepted another school, paid the deposit, and set up an orientation. If I get in to UT it is my first choice, and I would like to tell the other school in case they have a similar wait list situation. Looking at the common data sets from years past, they have had freshman class sizes of 7500. So if they accepted 7200 and then (guessing) the 300 on the wait list, a class of 7500 is doable for UT.

What a difficult situation this has been, but at this point we still have a chance. Good luck to all.

Same here!!! I accepted a different school, but I’m hoping I get into UT!!!
But I thought that had a class size of 7200… soo if 6800 people say they are going to ut… then all of us for SURE will be accepted.

Terlingua… we have no option. We had to accept another school for our back up while other people have been accepted to UT and lets say Berkeley and they are still deciding. that’s what makes me angry

@dartmouthgirl101

You are doing the same thing that makes you angry when others do it. Don’t be a hypocrite. Others are waiting on the school you accepted as a “back up” just as you are waiting for UT that some accepted as a “back up” while they are waiting for Berkeley, Caltech, MIT, etc. I thought you were going to tamu anyway?

@kldat1

I think you misunderstood. According to dartmouthgirl1, many are placing deposits at UT and another school, not simply accepting a place on the waitlist.

That’s exactly what I meant Poseidon007! Thank you:)

I guess I did misunderstand it. Sorry dartmouthgirl101! Hope everything works out for you!

Thanks man!

Did anyone apply for housing at UT?

[Decision Time: Becoming a Longhorn « Know](<a href=“Decision Time: Becoming a Longhorn - UT News”>Decision Time: Becoming a Longhorn - UT News)

About 47 to 48 percent of the (around) 15,000 offered admission accepted back in early March. This is very close to the 7200, but you can do the math and see the range. Really hoping that UT admissions will at least let in all the Texas residents from the wait list. Lets say they have 7100 total admissions, so if they let in the qualified 300 from the wait list, 7400 is in the Common Set Range, right?

To UT AUSTIN: Hook the most hopeful wait list horns!

PS Good luck to all. Will post when I hear something.

Where are you getting these stats from?

Ya’ll I’ve come to the point where I just dont want to worry about it. The more I hear about the stats, the more nervous it makes me. We have two more days until we find out, so until then let’s relax and focus on our AP exams or finals.

Someone already called her out

The wait list process has ended.
FYI: I applied last August and now got the final word. What a year of expectation… ugh.

The Office of Admissions has made final decisions for students on the wait list. We’re sorry that we aren’t able to offer you admission to the summer/fall entering class. The number of students who accepted our admission offers means that we are not able to admit many of the students on the wait list this year.

sigh rejected

Rejected :/
