UT Austin?

So, I'm applying for colleges and would love to go to UT at Austin! I'm not able to be automatically admitted as I'm in the top 13%. I made a 26 on my ACT with a 32 in English, a 22 in Math and Science, and a 29 on the Reading. I also made a 7 on my essay.
I'm was in my school's dance team for my freshman and sophomore year. I've been in TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) and National Honor Society for 2 years now. I'm also in Student Council and National Technical Honor Society in school and I teach Sunday school every week.

I want to major in Social Work with a minor in English.

I'm so worried about my applications; I actually feel like I'm procrastinating because of my nervousness :( What do y'all think of my chances? Do I have any luck? Please be honest...

Thanks y'all! :)

I’d say UT Austin is a high reach. Usually, if you’re not auto admit you need higher testscores than a 26. You still have chance though, make your essays great!!

Apply anyway! You really want to go there. So apply! For one thing, that English score might help a lot more than you think. Who knows? You will never know unless you try.

But also apply to a few other colleges that you are more certain of. Sounds like you are in Texas, so maybe also check out U.Texas-Dallas and U.Texas-San Antonio. You should apply to at least one school that you know you can get into, and that you can afford, and that you like. I recommend applying to at least 5 colleges, so that you have a real choice when all the dust settles. If you can find 7 colleges worth applying to, then apply to those extra two as well.
