UT BHP vs NYU Stern Part II

After doing more research about the two school I noticed one big difference. NYU has the Stern Curve hich is an anti-grade inflation curve that caps the amounts of A's B's C's D's and F's in a class, while BHP does not. If I go to NYU it seems my grades will be lower than if I go to UT, and so my GPA would not be as competitive. Would this really matter for grad school or will they know about NYU's Stern Curve. Im afraid that when it comes time to go to grad school, the kid with a higher gpa from bhp will beat me out if i go to nyu.

This is kind of a different topic, but I was looking into Texas and found this...

http://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/dept/finance/undergrad/index.asp#tracks

Honestly, how many undergraduate business schools have an investment-banking track? I don't even think Stern has that.... but Stern does have some investment banking/mergers and acquisitions classes.

http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/finance/academic.cfm?doc_id=1230

-To answer you question, I don't think it really matters which school you enroll in. Universities know that Stern is a highly ranked business school up there with Wharton and will take that into consideration with your GPA. I doubt the Stern Curve will bring your grade down that much.

i believe only finance classes are curved, the curve if it even exists is not that harsh for the other classes. sagar, as I said before you are a smart person, you shouldn't have trouble doing well in Stern. grad schools know the calibre of undergrad degree from Stern and they won't judge you on the same level as let's just say an applicant from Fordhmam business. grad schools also put an emphasis on job experience and you would get plenty if you do well in Stern. if money is not an issue, I would pick Stern.

another thing that mind influence your decision is that there is a sizable Indian population in Stern and NYU in general, very active. well again, Indians are most represented country in US colleges, don't know how it is in UT. Indians like to party hard and study even harder. if you haven't noticed already, i'm indian too and i'm attending Stern.

I've narrowed down what I want to do with a business degree to I-Banking. Now the question still remains whether i should go to UT BHP or NYU Stern Scholar. I realize that NYU has the most i-bankers recruited every year, but would my lower GPA at stern translate to a lower chance to becoming an I-Banker one day? Also what should i major in if i go to stern or BHP...looking for a double major. At UT i would already be doing the BHP major automatically
